If You Take a Mouse to the Movies - Cause & Effect Freebie

I am stopping by quickly to link up with Carla from Comprehension Connection for Thematic Thursday.  This week's theme is mice!  For lots of book and lesson ideas please check out her post!  She has a Pinterest board on the theme.  I am also linking up with Andrea from Reading with the Stars for Book Talk Thursday.  She will be sharing holiday themed books this month, so be sure to check back there as well.

Some of my favorite mouse books are those by Kevin Henkes (Chrysanthemum, Lily's Purple Plastic Purse, etc.) but I wanted to share a freebie for a seasonal book today, If You Take a Mouse to the Movies by Laura Numeroff.
This book brings back the infamous mouse from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and If You Take a Mouse to School in the same cause and effect format.  Taking him to the movies results in a whole bunch of winter and Christmas themed activities.
So, I made a quick freebie for reviewing cause and effect after reading the story with your students.
I know it's difficult to remember the sequence of ALL the events that occur in the story since there are so many, so this just has a place for students to choose and record three cause and effect situations from the story to show their understanding of the skill.

Click here or on one of the images above to find it in my TpT store for FREE.
