It's also time to link up with Farley for the January currently.
My husband is fascinated by this NHL game that is taking place outside in the snow right now. I've spent two days watching Revenge while he works, so I'm giving up the TV for a bit. He likes to cook, so I am trying to get him to figure out how to make baked potato soup. I recently discovered I love it, but have no idea how to make it!
I feel so bad for those of you that have to go back to work tomorrow. We go back on Monday for inservice and the kids come back Tuesday, so I am grateful for the extra days off. I have been doing good with making some new stuff to use, but I haven't actually done any real lesson planning. Hopefully, it will be easy once I get started (tomorrow…).
Might seem like a weird memory, but my husband and I skipped Christmas this year with our families and went to Colorado. It was so much less stressful than going back and forth seeing both of our families. I'm sure we won't get away with it every year though!
Make sure to check out my Facebook page this weekend because there will be a second grade hop going on with lots of freebies!

Baked potato soup sound delish. Do you make it or have a special place you get it from? I still have time off for winter break and I am thrilled I don't have to think about going back for awhile just like you. I can't wait to see what surprises you have on your FB page this weekend too. Happy New Year!

You are so lucky that you do not have to go to work tomorrow. I think it will be hard getting up early. I tried to get up early everyday this week, but I just turned the alarm off and went back to sleep. At least it is only 2 days. I am also watching hockey today. There is nothing like skating outside! I have fond memories of the ice rink in my own back year growing up! These players must feel like kids again today! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the freebie! I am so glad that I found your blog!

Cute freebie! Thank you for sharing. I think a vacation away from Christmas sounds wonderful but you are right, it probably couldn't happen every year! Have a great rest of your break!
ReplyDeleteMonday is not happening any time soon...enjoy your time off!

Thanks so much for the freebie! Are you just starting Revenge or have you been watching it all along. I love it. I started watching Betrayal this year. I'm addicted to Netflix. It's sad really. My dad made me come look at the TV to check out the hockey game outside. Lol!

Yum! Baked potato soup sounds good! Thanks for the freebie!
ReplyDeleteI need to write lesson plans too, but instead, I'm surfing, lol! I agree with your idea of peace and quiet on Christmas. This year we just stayed home with the kiddos and it was so nice!
