September Currently!

I didn't even notice that yesterday was September 1st!  Time for Farley's monthly currently.

Listening:  We don't get cable, so I'm stuck with local news.  I need to find something new to watch on Netflix!

Loving:  This extra day off, off course!  I usually work Sundays...I didn't do much yesterday so I guess that is what I will be doing today.

Thinking:  This is the time of the year I miss home (the northeast) the most.  I miss apple picking, the cool weather, leaves, apple cider, local fairs, etc.  Here in Texas it's just hot and you don't get the sense of fall at all.

Wanting:  I want/need new shoes.  Very comfortable shoes in which I can stand on tile for 12 hours!  I need to find out what time the stores open today.

Needing:  I need to write down everything that I need to get done today so that I don't forget anything.  Plus, it makes me feel better when I can cross things off the list!

For myself:  I have been doing pretty well leaving work by 5:30.  I want to keep doing this.  Although this week we have a faculty meeting, parent night, DRA training, and maybe a team dinner...four things, four nights...we'll see...  I also want to sleep late on the weekends.  I was up at 5:30/6 today for no reason.  I get up at 4:30 during the week because I work best in the morning.  I do nothing after like 7 PM.  But now I can't sleep in anymore!

  1. It's so hard to leave work early at the beginning of the year...so much to do! Luckily we have reasons to drag us out of school just after dismissal ends...Tamra has to pick up her little kiddo and I've got to let the dogs out! Hopefully things settle down and you can reach your goal of leaving school!

  2. I have a hard time leaving school too, I always feel like everything has to get done NOW. One of my goals is to take a deep breath and worry less...want to join me and see if it works??

  3. I am thinking of buying some new shoes too. Ones that my feet can feel relaxed in. Do you know of any good ones?

  4. Fall is my favorite time of year, and it is also the time of year I miss living in RI. I'm still in the Northeast (PA) but it isn't the same.
