Getting Acquainted Linky & Prefixes/Suffix Cootie Catchers

Yay for country music!  I can't wait to see Tim McGraw! {I am watching the Academy of Country Music Awards tonight.}

I literally did nothing this weekend.  I am the kind of person who has to be really busy.  If I'm not really busy trying to do a million things, I am being just the opposite...unproductive and lazy!  Happens every once and a while.  I had my lesson plans done in advance and got caught up in enjoying having nothing to do.

I can't post anything requiring much thought tonight, so I am linking up with Latoya from Flying into First Grade for her weekly Let's Get Acquainted Linky!

Simple - Which three THINGS would you want with you if you were stranded on a desert island?

1.  Blistex...the kind in the blue jar.  I am addicted to it.  If I reach in my purse to find it on the way to school and don't find it there, I panic.  I'm likely to go home and get it or find a 24 hour CVS to open it.

2.  My iPad.  It would keep me busy until the battery died at least!  It's possible I'd choose my laptop or phone instead by this seems the most useful and portable.

3.  Sunscreen...I have extremely fair skin and don't last too long in the sun without it!

I just made some Cootie Catchers (or Fortune Tellers as my students call them) for reviewing prefixes and suffixes.  My students love using them.  I give them one every week with their spelling words and they have them out all the time, so I'm pretty sure they use them at home.  Whatever works, right?

There are 8 different ones with a variety of prefixes and suffixes.  For the next 24 hours, they will be available from my TpT store for 50%.  Tomorrow night I will set them back to their regular price of $2.00.  Click here to check them out!

Okay...since you read all the way to the bottom of my post, if you click here, it will take you to a Google Doc with one of the above Cootie Catchers for free!

  1. Hey, if you take your phone/Ipad/laptop... maybe you can get a hold of someone to come get you off the island!

    I completely understand your panic on the Blistex! I have so many tubes of Nivea lip stuff it's unreal.
