One of my newest loves is all of the tech tips out there in the blogging world. I'm one of the people who is "in the know" regarding technology, but it is amazing how much more there is to learn every day! So...I'm linking up with Katie King from Queen of the First Grade Jungle for Techy Teacher Tuesday!
I discovered a new website/app this weekend that I think would be really helpful in modeling prewriting, organization of ideas, etc. for my students...www.popplet.com. It is both a website and an app (the lite verson is free).
Here is a sample web I just made quickly while playing around...Each web is called a "popplet." I guess you can only have five at a time for free, if you want more is is $3 a month or $30 a year. But you can just delete one and replace it with another for free...
It's pretty each to use. Each box can have an image inserted, the text size and color adjusted, and the sizes of the boxes and what they are linked to can be changed too. I'm going to play around with it some more and try it out with my class for sure.
Finally, a tech related question...is it really possible for my iPad to be FULL? I've never heard of such a thing. I was trying to update or download apps and it tells me I do not have any local storage left! Seriously?! What will I do!?
Okay, not finally, one more question...does anyone use Istation? What are your thoughts? My admins just found out it is free in grades 3-8 in Texas. I teach second, but still curious.
